Obviously, APC members are still lagging behind in this hanky-panky form of  Saraki political game, Saraki has established that how he outsmarted APC in 2015 was not a mistake by re pulling his stunt in July 2018.

APC members plotted to remove Saraki as a senate president, who has been openly outplaying them by cunningly giving PDP plenty of support. The plan was to pull out the senate presidency seat from him before his defection to PDP.

On the night of Monday, 23 of July , Signatures were collected to impeach Saraki after he has indirectly made his intention to leave APC known.

On the 24 of July the inspector general of police , Ibrahim Idris, has invited Saraki to appear before the Intelligence Response Team (IRT), at Guzape area in Abuja at 8am to answer questions bordering on the Offa bank robbery, a bid to arrest him to prevent some lawmakers on the platform of All Progressives Party (APC) from leaving the party, this was revealed by Saraki later.

On the night of Monday, July 24, 2018, as the police surrounded Saraki's residence to arrest him, he was arriving at the national assembly in a rickety cab, in order to prevent his planned impeachment, meaning that he wasn't at home when the police arrived his premises.

Later that day, Saraki was reading out the names of 15 APC senators defecting to PDP, alarmingly his name was not included in the list.
